Design Through the Years

From Flash to AI-Built Code

We've built on Wix since the very beginning. As the platform grew, so did the way we design.

2009

The Flash Era

Strands of Silver begins as Xandr Rendering & Design. Our first websites are built in Wix's Flash editor: animated, ornate and made for desktop screens.

2012

HTML5

Wix trades Flash for HTML5, and so do we. Sites load faster and work on more devices, and our name becomes Xandr Designs as branding takes center stage.

2012–2023

The Wix Editor

A decade of drag-and-drop design, mobile layouts and full brand identities for entrepreneurs. In 2021 the studio becomes Strands of Silver Company.

2023

Wix Studio

Wix launches Studio for agencies, with responsive layouts and real design control. It becomes our home for fully custom, blank-canvas builds.

2024

First Experiments With AI

AI joins our process behind the scenes for admin, copywriting, messaging and research. The websites are still designed by hand, now with sharper strategy behind them.

2026

Wix Harmony

Wix launches Harmony in January, blending AI with drag-and-drop design. We start building AI-assisted websites for our clients.

2026

Claude + Wix Headless

We learn to design by conversation with Claude, then connect it to Wix Headless. The result is fully custom, advanced design, built in code.

Coming Soon

Wix Studio 2

The next chapter of Wix Studio is on the way, and our process keeps growing with it. The archive is never finished.
