Why Strands of Silver?
I started going gray at 10. By 16, I had a silver stripe, and my dad loved it. He used to call me Cruella de Vil, or Pepe Le Pew, because he thought it was funny.
I dyed my hair in my early twenties. But when my dad got really sick with cancer, I knew how much he loved my silver hair, so in the winter of 2014 I started growing it back out. He passed away in 2015. I have his exact hairline.
When I officially formed my LLC in 2021, I named it Strands of Silver Company. So much of branding is identity, and I've been known for my silver hair most of my life. It just felt so suiting for me.

Named after AleXANDRa and meant to be an interior design studio, but the work went straight into branding.
With the focus now fully on branding and design, the name changes to fit the work.
That winter, I start growing my silver hair back out for my dad.
My father passes away. I carry his hairline, and his love for my silver.
The name becomes official as Strands of Silver Company, LLC.

Alexa's journey began at the young age of 17, crafting marketing materials for her father's real estate business. This early exposure ignited her passion for branding and set the stage for a career dedicated to helping entrepreneurs establish their presence within their communities.
Nearly Two Decades
For nearly two decades, Alexa has been a guiding light for entrepreneurs and small business owners as a master brand storyteller and marketing specialist.
The Craft
Graduating from the Art Institute of Houston in 2009 with a BFA in Interior Design, Alexa's diverse skill set and bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish allow her to serve a wide range of clientele and tackle projects of varying scopes. Her keen marketing skills, responsiveness, and commitment to educating her clients throughout the branding process have earned her a reputation as a trusted partner in the industry.
